La Canada School of Music and Yung-mee Rhee Music Academy offer music lessons for students of all ages and levels interested in learning an instrument. Every student needs the different teaching approaches. It is necessary to take private lessons to learn the techniques of an instrument or voice with individual attention. Make sure that your student has the option to select the learning style that is best suited for them. We offer 30 minute, 45 minute and 1 hour lessons for private lessons and 45 minute group lessons. We are conveniently located for students and families seeking quality music instruction in La Crescenta, La Cañada Flintridge, Pasadena, Glendale, and the Los Angeles area.
HIGHLY QUALIFIED TEACHERS
We provide high quality lessons to every student
Our lessons are available for piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, clarinet, flute, oboe, and guitar. Catering to each student’s personality, interest, and learning speed, our instructors aim to provide the most comprehensive and customized music education for our students.
We showcase quarterly student recitals, prepares students for the annual SYMF competitions, and Certificate of Merit (CM) exams, constantly providing students with performance goals and opportunities to perform in public. The faculty being active members of the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), ASTA, the American Viola Society, and the National Flute Association (NFA), we provide many opportunities to participate in competitions and music festivals.
Community service/Volunteer work is also available through the Academy’s non-profit organization IIMF (Image International Music Festival) for high school students in need of completing those requirements.
